The Embassy’s Consular Section provides a wide variety of visa services to Bangladeshi and other foreign nationals here in Bangladesh.

Non-Immigrant Visas: Processes applications for temporary visas to the United States including tourist visas, business visas, student visas, and temporary work permits.

Non-Immigrant visa categories and qualifications: Most applicants for non-immigrant visas travel to the United States for tourism, business, study, or temporary work.

Visa Consultancy Fee:
Visa Fee depends on the Embassy
Visa Processing Service Charge = 5000 BDT
Visa processing takes approximately 21 workdays from the date on which the application is received by the Embassy. (Time may vary depending on the applicant’s profile and the embassy’s actual processing time).

General Documents for All:

Passport: Original Passport with validity of a minimum of six months after the intended date of departure and a minimum of two blank pages for visa stamp.

Copy of previous passports and visas issued.
Attach all your old passports (if any).

Photo Specification:

Two recent passport-size photographs with Mate Paper with white background and without a border (Size: 2 x 2) .The photograph should measure 2″ square (roughly 50 mm square) with the head centered in nthe frame. The head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure between 1 to 1 3/8″ (25 to 35 mm) with the eye level between 1 1/8 to 1 3/8″ (28 and 35 mm) from the bottom of the photo.

Please Note: Photographs should not be used in any of the previous visas.

United States Visa Application Form: Visa application form must be filled and signed by the applicant.

Bank statement: Need to be a personal bank account for the last six months with a Bank seal and signature. (Closing balance minimum 3,50,000/- per person which validity only 5-7 working days).

Bank solvency certificate with Bank seal and signature which validity of only 5-7 Days)
Salary slips for the last seven months for job holders (If Any).

Cover Letter: Covering Letter from the applicant’s name, designation, Passport Number, and purpose, and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip – travel, accommodation, expenses, etc. Addressed to – The Visa Officer, U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For Employee:
1. Job Id Card
2. No Objection Letter (NOC) in company pad from the applicant’s company authority on the company’s letterhead stating the applicant’s name, designation,
passport number, purpose, and duration of the visit.
3. Salary Certificate

For Businessman:

Update Trade License Photocopy with Notary (For Business person)
Tin certificate
Forwarding Letter to company pad from the applicant’s company authority on the company’s letterhead stating the applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose, and duration of the visit.
Memorandum of Shared business (If Joint LTD company the applicants need to Certificate of Incorporation, Form XII, Share distribution page)

For Student:

Student Id Card
Birth certificate/NID
NOC from School/University (If Applicable)

For Couple:

Marriage certificate

NB: For spouse needs 02 recent photos background white. Marriage certificate or Nikha Nama translated in English with Notary. For children need 02 copies of the photo’s background white.

Additional Documents:

Airline Reservation: Ticket Itinerary with return air ticket (The date should be the NOC date same as per)
Hotel Booking Reservation copy
COVID Vaccination Certificate.
